Hospital Leadership
Larry S. Davy has served as president and CEO of Tillamook Hospital since 2007. Larry has a clinical background and is familiar with running a rural hospital with critical access designation. Most recently, Davy was the CEO at Wallowa County Health Care District, which includes Wallowa Hospital and Wallowa Valley Care Center. He was responsible for all of the hospital and care center activities, program development and strategic planning.
Previously he served as the director of Nursing Services, associate administrator of Patient Care Services and compliance officer for Wallowa County Health Care District. No stranger to Adventist Health, Davy also held a variety of clinical roles at Adventist Medical Center in Portland, Oregon, including nursing coordinator and director of Surgical Services.
A graduate of Walla Walla College, Davy received his associate’s degree in Nursing and a bachelor’s degree in Religion. He also has an MBA with an emphasis in Health Care from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. Davy is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and is currently enrolled in Oak Brook College of Law.
Davy and his wife, Christy, have three children, Leah, Matt and Abby and have extended family in the area.
Walt Larson, CFOWalt Larson has served as CFO here at Tillamook Hospital since 1999. He completed a B.S. degree in Business and then a MBA in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. He holds certifications in the following; Public Accountant, Information Systems Auditor, and Internal Auditor. He is a Fellow in the Healthcare Financial Management Association, a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a member of Tillamook Rotary.
Walt began his career in the commercial industry working as a controller and treasurer, for such companies as Franchise License Industry, Champion Bake-n-Serve, Schnitzer Steel Products and Jason & Sons Foods. He moved into health care in 1987 becoming the Director of Finance for Kettering Hospital in Kettering, Ohio before coming to Tillamook.
Karen Kellar, VPKaren holds a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Washington State University and a Masters in Nursing Leadership and Management from the University of Southern Indiana. Her areas of clinical experience include cardiac, labor and delivery, post-anesthesia recovery, medical surgical, emergency and home care.
Prior to coming to Tillamook, Karen lived in southwest Washington for 16 years and served at hospitals in the Portland metropolitan area. At Adventist Medical Center in Portland, OR, she served in the Clinical Decision Unit and in Recruitment. She then went on to a director role at Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver, WA, establishing the new outpatient Wound and Hyperbaric Medicine Center, which included oversight of the inpatient wound program. Most recently, she was a patient care executive resident for Adventist Health at the White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA.
Married to John Kellar, the couple enjoys their two adult children and two grandsons. Kellar says she enjoys spending time with friends in the outdoors as well as reaching for new fitness goals such as participating in a triathlon in 2010.
