This two-mile, fun-filled annual event in support of the respite care ministry of Faith in Action, starts at Tillamook County General Hospital at 3 p.m. A water break and blessing of the canine walkers will be available at St. Albans Episcopal Church along the route. A reception will end the walk at the Tillamook United Methodist Church.

Walk of Faith is for everyone, from babies in strollers to families and groups to individuals in wheelchairs. Family dogs are welcomed to participate, because they are great companions and often caregivers, too. Funds raised will benefit the respite care services offered through Faith in Action, including Wellspring Respite Day Center.

Festivities and awards will include recognition of caregivers – human and canine – of the year, awards for the most well-behaved dogs, recognition of creative group banners, and prizes for the person and the canine who bring in the most pledge contributions. All participating dogs received a special “doggie bag” filled with treats donated by local businesses and individuals.
